It all starts with an idea

Let's be honest great solutions don't start with ideas... They start with problems. Our first product started as a frustration with a simple thing that no one really thinks about, a cup holder. Specifically the cup holder in my Toyota 86. It consists of just 2 holes nothing to secure in the beverage, no fancy tricks, just a couple of empty cylinders and if your drink slid around in there too bad. Naturally, I just wasn't satisfied with that… I wanted something that could hold a small redbull, hold my iced coffee, and hold my 40oz water bottle, all without spilling a drop as I pull away at a green light. I wanted something that looked cleaner to fill in the center console, and with that something that could utilize the current 12v outlet to power some USBs for charging my phone. Leading with the question “why can’t this be better” an idea was born, and with it a slew of ideas on how to make it happen, some good, some bad, and plenty that got SCRPD.
